A friend of mine from another forum was hoping to see something along these lines.
I figured it would be worth a try, to see if my new rig can handle this kind of pose without breaking things.
The new exposure control on the camera makes a huge difference!

In case anyone happens to notice the difference, I just updated the image.
I took a 6 hour course on Final Gather rendering in Mental Ray yesterday, and was able to improve the render even more.
No more grainy effects, either on the surfaces or the ray-traced shadows!
