So I finished the new mesh piece for Sabine’s hair. It looks much more authentic than my last version, but I might still need to tweak it a little more to make sure it holds the expected volume.

I spent today working on her body. It was necessary to begin Sabine’s body all over again from the low-polygon stage - since my prior attempt was too screwed up to salvage. Having already figured out the topology for a vertical Rebels body with Hera, I had the luxury of using Hera’s base mesh for reference - it really sped up the process.

Sabine’s body is quite different from Hera’s. So after I used Hera for the initial sculpt, I then went over each body part again in order to match it to Sabine’s specific proportions. The last part of her body that I’m working on now is her face. In this low-poly stage, my model will only roughly resemble the character, since I can’t represent very much detail with so few polygons. I still have a lot of work to do on the ear geometry - and then I can subdivide to add the detailed finishing touches.

My patrons have already gotten a bit of a sneak peek at some of the other anatomy I developed for her today.
